It is because of Shanna Layne that I am a competitor today. I was fortunate enough to meet Shanna in 2002. Meeting Shanna changed my life forever. She helped me get started on a program of healthy eating and exercise, assisted me in setting my goals, and helped me each and every day to bring those goals to life. Shanna was, and still is my inspiration to compete in Fitness and Figure, my inspiration to challenge myself and train harder every day. I am forever grateful for the day she walked into my life! Her positive outlook, extensive and thorough knowledge of fitness and nutrition combined with her dedication and desire to see others succeed make Shanna one of the most outstanding individuals you'll ever meet.

When I started working out with Shanna I couldn't do 1 pushup!  Now, I am stronger than I ever imagined.  I've lost 24 lbs and kept it off for over a year.  I have gained strength and self-confidence; I 've even discovered a new love for running!  If someone would of told me 2 years ago that I'd be running 10 miles I wouldn't of believed them.

When we first started working out with Shanna, we set certain goals. As we quickly met & exceeded those goals we have continued to set new goals. I can honestly say that we never imagined how much energy we would have and how great we would feel! We workout with Shanna 2-3x per week, our kids who are home from college also workout with us. It's a wonderful bonding experience, training together as a family. Shanna has made it easy because even though there's 4 of us working out at one time, we each have our own individual workout programs designed specifically for us.

My daughter's jeans~

I have 2 petite daughters in high school.  Since I've started training with Shanna, I've lost 20 lbs and I can now wear both of my daughters jeans!  My daughters aren't happy about it...but I'm thrilled!
